Invites you to a Valentine Playday on Sunday, February 8, 2009, at the home of Janet Rose & Van Shaw. The playday will begin roughly around 10:00am and end by 3:00pm - take down and clean up to follow. In case of inclement weather, the playday will be moved to February 15, 2009; you will be notified in advance. We ask that all Club Officers and Trial Committee Chairs arrive early or stay late to check their Event Boxes for our upcoming trials.
Pre-Playday registration is STRONGLY recommended. The form is located on our website; this will help speed the registration process. If you cannot pre-register, please have your forms filled out and ready to go!
We will have Lure Coursing, GTG and Racing. Kathleen Simmons of Glenledi Jack Russell Terriers has graciously aggreed to hold a grooming seminar. Please check the below agenda for the time schedule.

There will be a raffle held for a Valentine themed basket. Tickets are $5.00 each or 3 for $10.00. Please consider purchasing tickets; it will help our club generate extra funds to help with the maintenance of our equipment and our trailers. We are happy to announce that we have achieved our goal and the GCJRTN will be purchasing an AED for the club!!! Thank You, Jean Wallwin! But most of all, THANK YOU to ALL who have bought raffle tickets to support this goal!
Please bring a covered dish for our pot-luck lunch (keep the weather in mind!). I ask that you consider volunteering your time to help clean up after lunch; there's always plenty left over and Janet could sure use an extra hand or two!
Please bring items to donate to the Silent Auction, the Live Auction and the Garage Sale Table for our Texas Two Step VI & VII trials! These items can be given to our Fundraising Chairperson, Jean Wright, and our Fundraising Co-Chairperson, Janet Rose. Help support your club!!
If your Jack(s) have a special Valentine outfit they would like to show off, we'd love to see it! We encourage members and prospective new members to attend. We realize that many of you may have Sunday obligations, but we sure hope to see you there! If we don't see you, we hope to see you at our upcoming trials in Navasota, Texas, on March 7 & 8, 2009. Morning
Registration - 9:00am – 9:45am
10:00am – 12:00pm - Lure Coursing
10:30am – 11:30am – Grooming Seminar (K. Simmons/hand stripping and Q&A about various coat types)
10:00am – 12:00pm - GTG (Adult/Experienced dogs go first. Novices can watch and then go second)
Afternoon
Lunch will be from 12:00pm – 1:00pm (carport/greenhouse based upon the weather). This may run over, but it gives us a goal to reach. Drawing for the raffle basket will follow lunch.
1:00pm – 3:00pm – Racing
3:00pm - ? – Take down and clean-up
